I’ve just created a new Dungeons & Dragons character inspired by Doctor Doom from Marvel, using a custom subclass called the Illist Villain . This subclass, developed by a friend, brings together the genius and arcane prowess that defines Doom, allowing my character to combine magic and strategic combat.
My character’s story is one of a fallen ruler seeking revenge and power. Like Doctor Doom, he believes in his right to rule and is determined to reclaim his throne by any means necessary. His drive is rooted in both intellect and sorcery, making him a complex figure who sees his quest as necessary for restoring order to a chaotic world.
Playing this character excites me because it offers the chance to blend brains, brawn, and magic, while embracing a morally gray personality. The subclass adds unique mechanics that perfectly align with the ruthless yet tactical essence of Doctor Doom.
