I went there again this year because I am re-doing a lot of my classes from last year, but I found that I have learned a lot on getting myself to do things I don’t feel like I want to do.
Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Carsforsale.com, and it was a venture that left a lasting image on me. As a person passionate about web and graphic design, seeing a professional environment where design and technology come together seamlessly was incredibly inspiring.
Walking through their workspace, I couldn’t help but imagine myself as part of their team one day. The atmosphere was professional and goofy as we had images of the person leading us around on our tour, dressed up as a turkey in random places. As they were there to mess with her on the tour. The company integrates cutting-edge design with functionality giving me a better sense of what I want to achieve in my career. I felt a sense of security in knowing that this could be a place where my skills and passion for web design would not only be valued but also further developed.
What struck me most was how everything at Carsforsale.com seemed to work together seamlessly sleek, and friendly people who work behind the computer. The behind the scenes work that makes it all function. It’s one thing to learn about web design in class, but seeing it executed on this level was a reminder of how much there is still to learn. It lit a fire in me to deepen my knowledge of web development and design so I can one day contribute to projects of this scale.
The visit also reinforced my willingness to keep growing as a designer. I want to master not just the technical skills but also the ability to create designs that are both functional and visually engaging. The experience motivated me to work even harder in my studies if I’m even on top of them at least, knowing that opportunities like this are within reach if I stay committed.
