This weekend was a whirlwind, and it all started with a moment of panic!
It was the Monday after Thanksgiving, and I had a big school project to work on—a presentation and an essay based on a design book I’d been reading for my design class. Everything was fine until I realized I’d left my design book all the way in Nebraska with my grandparents. I mean, how could I write an essay or make a presentation without it. I felt so stressed and angry at myself for a bit.
Thankfully, I asked someone from my class if I could borrow the book till Wednesday and they agreed. This meant I could start my project without any stress. Later that same day, something else exciting happened. My grandparents always celebrate Christmas with us over Thanksgiving weekend, and this year, they gave me a check as so did the other grandkids. I’d been carrying it at home till this Monday. Finally, after school, we went to the bank, and I turned the paper into a lot of savings since my grandparents somehow got oil baron money.
It felt like a mini victory. Not only did I survive my design class crisis, but now I can get my Christmas presents for whom I care about
So, shoutout to my dad for saving the day and to my grandparents for their awesome gift. Some days just turn out better than expected I guess
I’ve finally remebered to make a post
