Teachers are terrbily treated all the time.

I’ve been working on writing about a lady whom for privacy I will omit her name and her teacher consulting business. I’ve found myself reflecting on the incredible amount of work teachers put into their roles not just in the classroom but how they get to where they are right now. I believe that teachers don’t just teach lessons and prepare students for tests; they mentor, inspire, and shape the future that is yet to be told. And yet, it seems like they’re constantly being undervalued.
Teachers are underpaid, underappreciated, and really terribly treated far too often. It’s ridiculous how tough reality is when you consider the weight of their responsibilities. Every lesson they plan, every student they support, and every long hour they spend grading papers and learning new techniques is done out of passion and dedication. For what ever reason, *cough cough money*, their salaries don’t reflect this hard work when they teach.
It’s not just the pay, either. Teachers are often expected to take on the emotional labor of helping students navigate personal challenges and academic pressures, yet they’re almost never given the resources to do so, especially when they need to thrive in their jobs. This leads to burnout, stress, and general bad well being, as its a reality that many teachers leave the profession because it becomes too much.
It’s important to recognize that teachers are shaping the foundation of our future. They’re teaching not just math, history, or reading—they’re teaching kindness, critical thinking, perseverance, and creativity. Every student they inspire is one step closer to making the world a better place.
I truly believe that we need to do better as a society to support and value teachers. They deserve fair wages, proper resources, and acknowledgment for their hard work. Teachers deserve more than what they taxingly suffer daily.
