For my school project I made a moodboard based on a bakery theme for a website. When it came to making a compelling and visually stimulating moodboard is an essential to get the ideas of a bakery into my head. The experience was not only delightful but also enlightening. In this blog post, I’ll share my process and insights on how to create a bakery-inspired moodboard.
- Color Palette Selection: The key to any moodboard is its color palette. For a bakery style, I opted for warm, inviting colors like pastel pinks, soft browns, and creamy whites. These colors evoke a sense of comfort and nostalgia associated with bakeries.
- Typography Choices: I carefully chose typography that mimics the handwritten and vintage signs often found in traditional bakeries. It added a personal touch and authenticity to the moodboard.
- Layout and Composition: Arranging the elements on the moodboard was a creative process. I focused on creating a balanced and harmonious composition, ensuring that the bakery aesthetic shone through.
- Texture and Imagery: I incorporated textures like flour dusting, rustic wood, and images of mouth-watering pastries to capture the essence of a bakery.
- Consistency and Branding: To tie it all together, I maintained consistency in the choice of images, colors, and fonts, ensuring they aligned with the project’s branding.
In conclusion, crafting a bakery-style moodboard for new media development is not only fun but also an important step in setting the visual tone for the project.
