My name is Jackson Crandall, and I am a Media Design major who is currently learning about the web. I’m from Sioux Falls, and I enjoy creating creative graphics. My creative career began with an early appreciation for graphic novels and comic comics. I’ve always been fascinated by how vibrant colors, intricate layouts, and dynamic images combine to portray these stories. The earliest and most dramatic one I recall reading was called Bone.
Hello, my name is Drew, and I’m a graphic and web designer living in Sioux Falls. I’d want to tell you a little bit about what drives my enthusiasm for design. Like many creatives, my path in life began with something I enjoyed as a kid was graphical novels and comic books.
There’s something wonderful about how comics communicate stories. The vibrant colors, detailed layouts, and dynamic artwork work together to create complete worlds and characters that feel alive. Growing up, these stories were more than just entertainment; they were lessons on the power of images to convey emotions, ideas, and storylines. They instilled in me a passion for narrative that has carried over into my professional life as a designer.
Now I can apply that inspiration to my job, whether it’s designing a powerful commercial or creating a user-friendly website. For me, the creative process is about creating an experience, rather than simply having something seem good. Every project begins with an outline, whether it’s a brand’s objective, a client’s vision, or an idea that has been on mine for a while.
