Here’s an interesting summary about my favorite Faction The Leagues of Votann. The Leagues of Votann are a powerful and resilient civilization in Warhammer 40K, made up of a race called the Kin—sturdy, genetically-engineered humans who thrive in the harshest regions of space. They are called “Squats” by outsiders, they are expert miners, warriors, and engineers, using highly advanced technology to survive and prosper. Unlike many other factions, they rely on artificial intelligence in the form of Ironkin—sentient robots that are treated as equals. Guided by massive ancient supercomputers known as the Votann, which hold their knowledge and wisdom, the Kin form strong, independent leagues that fiercely protect their resources and way of life.
